Most people begin their purchase or refi process by looking up their homes value on one of the popular online tools, such as Zillow, Trulia, or Yahoo. These tools are great for getting a rough estimate, however they cannot be used as a substitute for an appraisal during the process. Just remember they are a ballpark estimate. It’s a good idea to visit a few of these sites to get a general idea.
